Our Readiness Education and Development (R.E.D.) Program empowers children via age-appropriate curriculum that covers multiple topics. Whether it’s natural disasters, anti-bullying, teen safety, medical emergencies, cyber safety or an active assailant, your child will have a clear strategy to respond.
SAFETY AT HOME
We offer customized, in-home training for families, which is suitable for all ages and experience levels, and addresses a wide variety of situations, including self-defense for adults, self-defense for kids, first aid and what to do in the event of an emergency (like a fire).
SAFETY IN PUBLIC & AT SCHOOL
Our unique, interactive, and hands-on approach teaches young children important concepts in an age-appropriate manner, without fear-mongering. We focus on personal safety practices when away from home, stranger awareness in person and online, and specific self-defense methods for scenarios like an attempted abduction, and more.
You are well on your way toward protecting yourself and those around you.
Take the next step toward peace-of-mind by learning more about preparedness training and the vital role it can play in the outcome of emergencies, violent attacks and otherwise dangerous situations.
Kids’ & Families’ Safety & Preparedness Training
A 2016 study revealed nearly 65% of American households do not have adequate plans and supplies for a disaster. In 2011, that number was about the same.
The 2016 study revealed much more about our levels of preparedness:
- 41% are not confident their community has adequate plans in place for a disaster that occurs with no warning.
- 51% are not confident in the ability of government to meet the needs of children in a disaster.
- 37% are not confident in their community’s ability to meet the needs of children.
- 35% of households with children are not familiar with their schools’ evacuation and emergency plans, and 41% do not know to what location their children would be evacuated.
The U.S. Department of Justice estimates that 3.7 million homes are broken into each year. That’s about seven homes every minute.
Despite many resources and programs available to the public, there remains a significant amount of families that are under-prepared to handle emergencies.
At Red Team, our mission is to change those statistics, one family at a time. We offer various training programs for families and communities to help you prepare for a variety of emergencies and disasters.
We understand no two families are the same. Our in-home training sessions provide customized solutions for your family so you can truly be effective and efficient during critical situations. We’ll set up a program to continue training and refresh learned techniques to keep you proficient.
