Safety Away From Home
In Public & At School
Child safety is not just about wearing a helmet, knowing how to handle physical confrontations or being smart about how and when to talk to strangers. Children today have to deal with many issues and concerns that previous generations did not even have to consider.
Your child spends an average of 13 hours alone per day. What have you done to ensure they are making wise decisions? How have you empowered them to stay safe when they are alone? Child safety is not just about physical confrontations and talking to strangers. Children today have to deal with many issues and concerns that previous generations did not even consider. As technology improves, so does the threat.
Our Readiness Educations and Development (R.E.D) program is designed to teach children in grades PreK-8 a variety of personal safety and security topics, to include active shooter/campus intruder response. While there are multiple topics that can be addressed in the school/educational environment, there are also many that should only be addressed in the home by parents. However, many parents do not know how to start these conversations. Others find it difficult to filter through all the chatter about child safety and self-defense. Our program fixes both of these issues, and gives you solid plans and strategies to ensure your child will respond the way you want them to, every time. The conversation and instruction begins at school, then students take activity sheets home to continue the conversation. While the school will always have rules and regulations regarding personal conduct and safety, we strongly believe that a parent’s plan and rules will always override the school. This program helps facilitate those tricky conversations to ensure your child clearly understands what is expected of them should they face a difficult or dangerous situation.
Our unique, interactive, and hands-on approach teaches young children important concepts in an age-appropriate manner without fear-mongering. Tested and reviewed by school staff, administrators, parents, and mental health professionals, this program will be offered in child development centers and K-8 schools across the United States beginning in early 2019.
